Bio
Alex Dowsett is a six-time national time trial champion and Commonwealth Games gold and silver medallist. The time trial specialist broke track cycling’s world hour record in 2015 by 446 metres, logging a distance of 52.937 kilometres. He attempted the hour record again in 2021 and recorded 54.555km, the third-furthest distance in the history of the modern hour record. Prior to Israel-Premier Tech, Alex has also raced for Sky, Movistar, and Katusha-Alpecin. The only able-bodied elite sportsperson with haemophilia, he started a charitable foundation Little Bleeders to raise awareness of the condition and to support young haemophiliacs in sport.
