Bio
Chris Fennell is a two-time UK national time trial champion cycling with Team Independent Pedaler – Nopinz. He is also a PhD candidate and exercise science researcher at the University of Kent. Scarcely six months after getting his first road bike at the end of 2011, he rode the legendary Land’s End to John O’Groats traversing the isle of Great Britain solo in eight days and raising money for charity. His first memory of a national championship was watching his role model Michael Hutchinson race Matt Bottrill for the national 10-mile TT title. After spending most of the 2012 London Olympics period at the velodrome thanks to his cycling club at the time, he decided to start racing in 2013. In 2021, he averaged over 30mph to win the 100-mile national time trial championship.
