Bio
Els Visser is a long-distance triathlete and doctor hailing from the Netherlands. She survived a shipwreck in 2014 by swimming eight hours to the island where she was eventually rescued. This kickstarted her desire to leave her career as a doctor to turn pro athlete, to live life to the fullest and follow her dreams. After only a year in the professional ranks, she won her first full distance triathlon title and has continued to build towards finally getting on the podium in Kona.
