Bio
Gordon Benson is a European Games gold medalist, U23 mixed relay world champion, and U23 and sprint triathlon European champion. He was automatically selected for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games after taking gold at the first-ever European Games in 2015 and putting Great Britain on the medal board. While he is well-known in triathlon for his strong bike legs, he has a pedigree in athletics winning silver over the 3,000 metres at the 2011 European Youth Olympic Festival.
