The Pho3nix Foundation has launched the Defy Your Impossible campaign to engage the community growing around the Pho3nix Sub7Sub8 Project, powered by Zwift.
The campaign takes its cue from the four athletes undertaking the audacious attempt to Defy The Impossible over the full distance of triathlon: Olympic gold medalists and world champions Alistair Brownlee and Kristian Blummenfelt aim to go under seven hours for the men, while dual Olympic medalist Nicola Spirig and world champion Lucy Charles-Barclay target under eight hours for the women.
Defy Your Impossible aims to encourage participants of all abilities to set and pursue their own “impossible” challenge over a six-week period. Each participant names their challenge and selects the Sub7 or Sub8 athlete who will support them with personalised messaging to motivate them on their journey. Participants are encouraged to post details of their progress on their social media using the hashtag #DefyYourImpossible.
At the end of the Defy campaign period, the Sub7 and Sub8 athletes will vote on the participant who has achieved their impossible goal and best embodies the ethos of Sub7 and Sub8 in their social media documentation of the journey. The winner will receive a very special One-on-One Zwift ride session or Zoom masterclass with their chosen athlete, with a special prize from Zwift for the best use of the platform in social content.
